Hi guys! I am Tobé Frierson, a 2002 graduate of Erskine College. I am originally from Sumter, South Carolina, and I have been living in the upstate for almost 10 years now. This is a gorgeous part of South Carolina and Due West is the best small town in America. Attending Erskine College and now being able to serve in the Office of Admissions, has truly been a dream. At Erskine, you can receive a top-notch liberal arts education in a Christian environment. We are so excited that you are taking a closer look at us. When you get a chance to visit our campus, you will find me talking to our prospective students and their families about their opportunities at Erskine, attending our many cultural arts events and convocations, directing the Erskine College Gospel Choir, and cheering on our 14 varsity sports teams. I bleed maroon and gold. GO FLEET! I hope to see you on campus soon.
My name is Amanda McCombs and I am the Admissions Operations Coordinator. My husband, Arron, and I live in Greenwood, South Carolina, along with our three dogs. I am an Erskine graduate – I majored in business administration and have a minor in American history. I’ve worked at Erskine for several years and I love welcoming new students and their families into the Erskine community. I hope you and your family will visit Erskine soon. I look forward to meeting you!
I am a two time graduate of Clemson University, once in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and again in 2011 with a Master of Education in Student Affairs. While in school I worked at various high schools in upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia as Director of Percussion, and most recently at West-Oak High School where I worked as Assistant Band Director, and the Director of Oconee County Indoor Percussion Ensemble. I am from Easley, South Carolina and currently live in Clemson. Outside of work and my involvement in percussion education, I love to attend college sporting events. My favorite thing about Erskine is the individual attention that you get from the faculty and staff, and knowing that you will be known on a personal level and not just as any other student.
Hey guys my name is Shawn Glover. I’m a native of Columbia, SC and a 2011 graduate of Erskine College where I earned a major in Sports Management. As a student I participated with Erskine’s nationally ranked baseball team as well as many other extracurricular activities such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Judicial Council, and Erskine’s athletic department. My passion is to see students flourish in every walk of life which is my favorite part about being in Erskine’s Christ-centered community. I’m proud to return and serve my alma mater as an Admissions Counselor and a Resident Director. Come and visit us!
Trey McCurry is a graduate of Clemson University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in sports administration (2007) and a master’s degree in human resource development (2010). After serving as a student equipment manager for the football team and then a graduate assistant in sports information, Trey returned to his native Honea Path and joined the admissions staff as Guest Coordinator. Outside work, you can find Trey spending time with his family at sporting events, reading, and staying busy with small projects.
Hi! My name is Claire Duffle, and I am the Admissions Operations Assistant here at Erskine. I am from the nearby town of Abbeville, and currently live with my husband and son in Ware Shoals, which is also close. I love to be involved in music by singing, directing choruses, and doing musical theatre. Other interests of mine are teaching classical dance, leading the children’s program at my church, and being organized!
One of the things I love most about Erskine is that our small size means you get individual attention and support the whole time you’re a student here. During my time as a student (class of 2008) I got to travel to Scotland and New York City with the Choraleers, and connect with students from all over the world right here on campus. I am excited that you’re interested in us, and look forward to helping you find your place at Erskine College!
Welcome from the President
Warm greetings on behalf of Erskine College!
